Chapter 2: Installation

Powering On the Access Point

To power on the access point, perform the following procedure:

1. Do one of the following:

a. Plug the power cord on the adapter into the power connector

on the back panel, as shown in Figure 9, and plug the power

adapter into a wall outlet.

Warning: Do not work on equipment or cables during

periods of lightning activity.4

Warning: Power cord is used as a disconnection

device. To de-energize equipment, disconnect the

power cord. 5
