AT-S39 User’s Guide

To actively manage a switch, such as to change or adjust its operating

parameters, you must access the switch’s AT-S39 management software.

The AT-S39 software has a menu interface that makes it very easy to use,

and a special interface for managing a switch with a web browser.

There are four different ways that you can access the management

software on an AT-8024, AT-8024GB. or AT-8026FC Fast Ethernet Switch.

The methods are referred to as management sessions in this guide. They

are:

❑ Local Management Session

❑ Telnet Management Session

❑ Web Browser Management Session

❑ SNMP Management Session

The following sections in this chapter briefly describe each type of

management session.
