ENABLE CONSOLE

Syntax

enable console [echo]

Parameters

None.

Description

This command activates local management on the multiplexer. When

the console is activated, you can manage the multiplexer using a

terminal or a PC with a terminal emulator connected to the RS232 port

on the management module. The default for local management is

enabled.

You can also use this command to set the duplex mode to full-duplex

(echo) on the RS232 console port of the management module. To set the

console port to half-duplex, refer to the DISABLE CONSOLE command.

Example

The following command enables the RS232 port on the management

module so that the multiplexer can be managed locally:

enable console

The following command configures the RS232 port for full-duplex

(echo):

enable console echo

1 2 ... 129 130 131 132 133 134 135 136 137 138 139 ... 153 154
