• Telnet and Local Management Sessions

You cannot run a Telnet management session and a local management session on the

same switch simultaneously. Always be sure to properly exit from a Telnet or local

management session to prevent future management sessions from being blocked.

Limitations

• Upgrading the AT-S26 Management Software Switch to Switch

You cannot upgrade the AT-S26 management software switch to switch. To upgrade

switch software, you can use TFTP or the RS232 port on the switch and XModem. For

further information, refer to Chapter 8 in the AT-S26 Version 2.0.1 User’s Guide.

• Port Mirroring

This version of the management software does not support port mirroring.

• IGMP

AT-S26 Version 2.0.1 supports IGMP Version 1.0, but not Version 2.0.

• RMON and Uplink Ports

RMON alarms and the RMON log are not generated for uplink ports.

• Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)

The switch will not release an IP address assigned to it by a DHCP server after the lease has

expired. You can either assign the switch an IP address manually through the Omega

interface or you can configure the DHCP server to permanently assign an IP address to the

switch.
