Note
The PORTACCESS and PORTAUTH keywords are equivalent.
Parameters
port Specifies the port that you want to set to the
supplicant role or whose supplicant settings you want
to adjust. You can specify more than one port at a
time.
type Specifies the role of the port. The parameters are
role equivalent. The options are:
supplicant Specifies the supplicant role.
none Disables port-based access control on
the port.
authperiod Specifies the period of time in seconds that the
supplicant will wait for a reply from the authenticator
after sending an EAP-Response frame. The range is 1
to 60 seconds. The default is 30 seconds.
heldperiod Specifies the amount of time in seconds the
supplicant is to refrain from retrying to re-contact
the authenticator in the event the end user
provides an invalid username and/or password.
After the time period has expired, the supplicant
can attempt to log on again. The range is 0 to
65,535. The default value is 60.
maxstart Specifies the maximum number of times the
supplicant will send EAPOL-Start frames before
assuming that there is no authenticator present.
The range is 1 to 10. The default is 3.
startperiod Specifies the time period in seconds between
successive attempts by the supplicant to establish
contact with an authenticator when there is no
reply. The range is 1 to 60. The default is 30.
